Jaret Keller, who is Paula Deen’s publicist, confirmed recently that Deen has put this Wilmington Island real estate property on the market. This impressive piece of Savannah real estate sits in a prime location to overlook the Wilmington River. Seabolt Brokers and Christie’s International Real Estate are listing the property, but Savannah real estate agents can get you a look around.
Jaret Keller spoke of some reasons why Deen might be willing to part with her Wilmington Island real estate home. He said that Deen has been traveling a ton with all her new projects. She is working on an expansion plan for her restaurants as well. She recently opened Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The new restaurant and expansion plans are just an extra addition to her already packed schedule of managing the digital network that launched in the fall of last year as well as a mobile game that hit the market in March of this year.
It’s not often savannah homes for sale hit the market like this and it definitely stands out among other Savannah real estate listings. Savannah real estate agents report that the property is called Riverbend. It really does have everything you might imagine savannah homes for sale have, including a media room with a big movie screen. This is a full movie theater experience however, with a projector and a soda fountain on standby. If that isn’t enough for movie buffs, there’s even a pool with a dive-in movie theater. Aside from that, there’s also a study aviary and a huge master suite that overlooks the river. The house’s main living space was once the site of the wedding celebration for Paula Deen’s son Bobby in 2013.
The main house on this property boasts 14,500 square feet, which should be plenty for any kind of entertainment needs or large function. However, there’s even more where that came from. Two guest cottages reside on the property as well as a dock house and a huge 10,000 square foot barn that has three bedrooms and space for eight cars. This is a private five and a half acre property that could also hold at least two RVs and just about anything else you could want.
The location that serves as Paula Deen’s main filming area for her show has largely been her previous residence, known as Dogwood. She has also filmed short pieces for her own digital network at the Riverbend estate, according to her publicist.
Of course, Savannah real estate agents are ready to show you the gourmet, professional kitchen that offers a farm-style copper sink, huge cabinets, commercial appliances and an expansive butler’s pantry. Not only that, but there’s a huge outdoor kitchen that allows you enjoy an amazing view of the river while cooking. This kitchen has three grills, four refrigerators, a smoker, an oven and an ice maker.
The sale of her house shouldn’t concern Deen fans too much. The local queen of butter isn’t going away. She wants to buy another house in New York City, but she just wants to downsize somewhat from her French Caribbean estate. She already has plenty of new entertainment projects in the pipeline that have been taking her to both New York and Los Angeles. Not to mention, she’s had to visit Minnesota to do her EVINE shows. She simply wants a more relaxing experience when she comes home to Savannah.
